Getting licensed
No experience required. A license is.
Thousands of people walk away from a career in this business because they assume getting licensed is a hassle. It is a life-only license, and the firm prefers to train people who have never sold final expense before.
- 01
Talk to us first
Before you spend a dollar on coursework, have the interview. We would rather tell you it isn't a fit than watch you get licensed for nothing.
- 02
Take the life-only course
You need a life license through your state. You do not need health, or property and casualty, unless you want them.
- 03
Sit the state exam
Your credit score and any past bankruptcy have no bearing on whether you can be licensed. A criminal record is reviewed case by case by the state.
- 04
Contract and train
All materials, brochures, folders, applications, and training are free. Training costs you nothing.

Do I need experience to do this?
No. We do not require any past work or sales experience. We actually prefer to train people who aren’t currently licensed to sell final expense. Some of our best agents had never sold anything before.
Do I have to have a license?
Yes — a life-only license through your state. You do not need health or property and casualty unless you want them.
What exactly do you sell?
Small whole-life policies from $2,000 to $35,000, for either a traditional funeral or cremation. They build cash value, the payments are fixed, and the coverage amount never decreases. There are two plans — one for healthy applicants and one for unhealthy.
What is the average monthly premium?
Between $45 and $50 a month.
How long does it take to get paid?
We offer same-day advances for business submitted with premium.
Are there chargebacks?
Yes. All insurance companies have chargebacks if the client cancels within the first year.
What is lead financing?
Leads are transferred to you with no up-front charge. When you start submitting new business you are charged a small percentage of that income to pay the leads back.
Do I have to be captive?
Yes. We are not in the business of giving away leads for agents to use with other companies.
Is there room for advancement?
Yes. Prove you can produce, follow the system, and show the right attitude, and you may start building your organization within six months to a year.
Do I need materials of my own?
No. All materials, brochures, folders, applications, and training are free.
Will bankruptcy or bad credit stop me from getting licensed?
No. Your credit score or a bankruptcy will not affect your ability to obtain a license.
Can someone with a criminal record obtain a license?
This is handled by the state on a case-by-case basis.
